This report highlights the technical cooperation undertaken by the Pan American Health Organization during the period July 2019 through June 2020, within the framework of the 2014–2019 Strategic Plan, defined by its Governing Bodies and amended by the Pan American Sanitary Conference in 2017, and the 2020–2025 Strategic Plan of the Organization. This edition includes a timeline of PAHO’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic during the reporting period as well as a series of infographics highlighting key actions that will be critical for rebuilding stronger priority health programs in the post-COVID era.

Pan American Health Organization

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is the specialized international health agency for the Americas. Under the leadership of its 52 member countries and territories, PAHO sets regional health priorities, mobilizes action to address health problems and published reports and health guidelines to further those aims. Wearing two institutional hats, PAHO is the specialized health agency of the Inter-American System and also serves as Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).
