Marie P. Ting
About
Marie P. Ting serves as associate director at the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Michigan, and her doctorate in higher education policy and leadership from the University of Maryland.
Marie joined the NCID after serving as a program manager at the University of Michigan’s Center for Educational Outreach (CEO) which is designed to promote pathways and access to higher education for underserved communities. Prior to returning to the University of Michigan, Marie served as university director of student affairs and special programs at the City University of New York (CUNY), one of the nation’s leading public urban universities that serves over 250,000 degree-credit student in 24 campuses across New York City including senior and community colleges, graduate and professional schools. She has also held positions in academic and student affairs at the University of Maryland and the University of Michigan.
