Improving Teaching and Learning in Schools
Diverse perspectives on teaching and learning in schools enrich the field; however, there inevitably comes a point when ordinary people legitimately ask about “the state of the art”. Twenty-two high quality schools-based projects within the ESRC Teaching and Learning Research Programme provide a strong evidence base for such an overview. This lecture presents an initial synthesis of some key findings structured around principles for effective teaching and learning.
